Bosnian calligrapher Munib Obradovic

The calligrapher Munib Obradovic was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1971. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Jamal Bejedic University in Mostar in 2000. He studied Arabic calligraphy from 1999 until 2011 at the hands of the teacher, Mosaad Khudair Al-Borsaidi, a member of the Egyptian General Society for Arabic Calligraphy, and Munib obtained a license in Arabic calligraphy from him. In 2003, the calligrapher Obradovic graduated from the Arabic Calligraphy Institute “Khalil Agha” in Cairo. He won many awards in international competitions in Turkey, Kuwait, Pakistan and Algeria, and won first place three times in the International Thuluth Line competitions. He is currently teaching Arabic calligraphy at Yunus Emre Cultural Center
in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina Organizing joint exhibitions for his students. Since 2014, Mr. Munib has been executing Arabic calligraphy paintings. He also wrote the clock of the Great Mosque of Mecca (the Clock Tower) and participated in many internal and external exhibitions.
